The Editorial Team
Structure and roles
At Nonna, editorial content is produced by a small in-house team led by the Editor, supported by section editors and a fact-checking coordinator. Contributors include chefs, writers, and community voices; all pieces are edited for clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
Editorial Line
Our coverage focuses on food culture, seasonal cooking, hospitality, and the communities around our kitchen in the North East. We prioritise useful, verifiable information over hype, disclose commercial relationships, and label opinion, features, and advertising distinctly.
Journalistic Values
We commit to accuracy, fairness, independence, and transparency. Sources are attributed where possible; quotes are checked; images and recipes are credited. Corrections are issued promptly when errors are identified through our standard business contact channels.
Ethics and Deontology
The team follows the spirit of the Editors’ Code of Practice and applicable UK law, including defamation, privacy, and copyright. We avoid conflicts of interest, obtain consent for interviews and imagery, respect minors and private individuals, and protect personal data in line with UK GDPR. A right of reply is offered on matters that affect reputation.
